Kazakhstan has launched the Digital Nomad Residency program in March 2025. This is a simplified residence permit for IT specialists. The initiative has been widely supported by the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Transformation of Kazakhstan.
Candidates who wish to apply, need to register their interest on Astana Hub via eGov.kz. The application process is quite simple and includes only submission of required documents. The total duration of application process is up to 45 days. Upon approval the residence permit is issued for 10 years.
The newly launched residency program has lots of benefits:
- Firstly, it allows you to apply in the future for permanent residence permit in Kazakhstan.
- Secondly, no need to confirm a high level of income or have large savings.
- Finally, you can include your immediate family members into the application.
To apply, you need to attach your photo, passport copy and criminal record certificate.
