VANUATU CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Good health
All applicant should be of sound mind. Future Vanuatu citizens should not have any serious medical conditions or contaminating diseases.
Clean Criminal Record
Only applications with clean criminal records will be accepted.
Restricted countries
Vanuatu CBI law does not accept applications for Vanuatu passport by investment from the citizens of North Korea, Yemen, Iraq, Syria or Afghanistan.
Main Applicant/Investor
- The applicant must show proof of legal and sufficient funds for investment, ensuring they can meet Vanuatu’s investment requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
Children
- both biological or adopted children could be included into application;
- any child below 18 years of age;
- a child in between 18 and 25 years old, single and fully supported by the main applicant.
Spouse
- a person of an opposite sex to the main applicant;
- a person who is in a duly registered marriage with the main applicant. Civil unions and civil partnerships are not considered a marriage;
- only one spouse from a polygamous marriage could be included.
Parents
- Both biological and adoptive parents could be included into the application;
- Any parent over 50 years of age, provided they live with and fully supported by the main applicant.
VANUATU CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS
Documents Required

- affidavit of funds.

Initial review and onboarding
At the beginning Inter Citizenship performs internal due diligence check to make sure your profile is in compliance with Vanuatu citizenship by investment requirements.
Once it is done, we sign a services agreement in order to be able to represent you in front of Vanuatu local authorities.
All citizenship applications should be submitted only by authorized Vanuatu citizenship agents or their sub-agents.

Submission of application
We lodge your citizenship application along with other supporting documents to the Vanuatu Investment Citizenship Unit and the Financial Intelligence Unit of Vanuatu (FIU).
Before submission of the application, you would be required to pay due diligence fees.
At the end of FIU clearance, the applicant is either allowed to proceed to the next step of application or declined.

Making an invstment
This stage includes submission of the rest of the supporting documents as well as making the investment. We assist you in collecting, pre-filling correctly and submitting all the required documents.
The submitted documents are being evaluated and investigated further by the Citizenship Commission of Vanuatu, which sits twice a month.
Expected Duration: Up to 10 days
Issuance of citizenship and passport
Once the Citizenship Commission approves your application, you are required to take an oath at an official ceremony via Skype or Zoom meeting.
On the next day after the oath ceremony, the certificate of citizenship is being issued.
This certificate is then submitted by us to the Vanuatu immigration authority in order to issue a passport.
