    Good Health

    All applicants should not have any serious medical conditions or no contaminating diseases.

    Clean Criminal Record

    A criminal record is still considered clean if: (a) there is a minor traffic offence, which does not include imprisonment; AND/OR (b) there is a criminal conviction for the period of imprisonment for less than 6 months.

    Applicants should not be citizens and/or normally reside in the following countries: Russia, Belarus, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, Iran and North Korea.

    • a parent of the applicant/their spouse who is above 55 years and who is fully supported by the applicant.
    • a parent of the applicant/their spouse of any age, if they are physically or mentally challenged.

    Siblings

    • Unmarried siblings of the main applicant or their spouse could be accepted; and
    • Siblings could be of any age.

    HOW TO GET ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA CITIZENSHIP?

    Preparation of required documents

    Antigua and Barbuda passport application process starts with the payment of 10% of processing fees and 100% of all due diligence fees. Once the payment is made, the documents could be submitted to the citizenship by investment Unit (CIU) of Antigua and Barbuda.

    Step 3 -

    Expected Duration: Up to 90 days

    Examination of submitted documents by Antigua and Barbuda CBI Unit

    At this stage the CIU assess the applicant’s profile with Antigua and Barbuda citizenship by investment requirements. Internal ground checks of the candidate and their family members who are over 11 years of age are conducted at this stage.

    As a part of application process the main applicant could be requested to attend the interview with one of the representatives from the CBI Unit. Any member of family eligible for Antigua and Barbuda citizenship by investment program may also be asked to attend such an interview. A personal interview can be held in the Antigua and Barbuda embassy close to the place where you currently live.

    Step 4 -

    Expected Duration: Up to 30 days

    Issuance of the final decision

    Once the review of the documents is finalized, Antigua and Barbuda CBI Unit will issue either of the following decisions:

    – approval in principle;

    – denial; or

    – delay for cause.

    Upon the issuance of government approval in principal, the main applicant is required to pay the rest of processing fees, as well as the full amount of investment. This should be done within the period of 30 days since the issuance of approval. Upon the recipe of all funds, the CBI Unit issues a citizenship certificate.
