    REQUIREMENTS FOR GETTING GRENADA CITIZENSHIP

    General Requirements

    Good health

    Once of Grenada CBI program's requirements is that all applicants should be in a good health and do not have any ongoing contagious diseases.

    Clean criminal record

    One of Grenada passport requirements is a clean criminal record and absence of ongoing criminal investigation against applicant or their family members (if included into application).

    Restricted countries

    As a general rule, applications are not accepted from the citizens of: Russia; Belorus; Somalia; North Korea; Afganistan; Yemen; Sudan.

    No previous denial in visa or citizenship

    The main applicant has never been denied a citizenship in any other Caribbean country. On top of that, the main applicant has never been denied a visa by a country with which Grenada enjoys a visa free or visa on arrival regime.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Investor

    • Financial Stability: The applicant must show proof of legal and sufficient funds for investment, ensuring they can meet Grenada’s investment requirements.
    • Age: the main applicant should be at least 18 years of age, be of sound mind and good health.
    • Health and Character: The applicant should be in good health and possess a reputable character to pass all background checks.

    Spouse

    • Same-sex couples won’t be considered for the application process.
    • The spouse’s dependency on the applicant must be demonstrated through marriage documentation. Grenada CBI program does not recognize other civil partnerships or forms of civil unions, than marriage.

    Grandparents

    • Inclusion of grandparents is one of Grenada citizenship benefits under CBI program.
    • The grandparents are included into the application once they are: (1) above 65 years of age; and (2) fully supported by the applicant.

    Children

    • Both biological or adopted children could be included into application.
    • Children can participate in Grenada passport application process if they are: (1) below 18 years of age; (2) above 18 years of age, but are physically or mentally challenged; or (3) in between 18 and 30 years old, single and fully supported by the applicant.

    Parents

    • Both biological and adoptive parents could be included into the application.
    • Under Grenada CBI program parents could participate in the program if they are: (1) relate to the main applicant or their spouse; and (2) above 55 years of age and fully supported by the applicant or their spouse.

    Before submission of the documents to respective authorities, an applicant is required to pay upfront due diligence, processing and application fees.

    Once paid, the documents along with the prove of payment are sent for submission to the Investment Migration Authority of Grenada.

    Documents should be submitted strictly through Grenada CBI agents or their affiliated sub-agents.

    Examination of submitted documents

    All the submitted documents are examined by the Investment Migration Agency (former Grenada Citizenship by Investment Committee).

    Citizenship by investment program of Grenada requires all applicants above 17 years of age attend a mandatory online interview. The interview will be performed in an applicant’s native language.     Issuance of a final decision

    The Citizenship by Investment Grenada laws state that if the applicant meets all the requirements, the approval in principle can be granted.

    Approval in principle means that the citizenship application is approved and an applicant can pay the minimum investment sum under the chosen investment route. In case of a real estate investment option, an applicant would be required to pay on to the Government Fee.
